Victorian Black Silk Dress bodycon Slightly puffed 3/4 sleevesLovely black silk dress circa 1860s, likely second mourning or half mourning due to its shiny finish and velvet trim. Features lovely, decorative French jet buttons and includes a silk fichu trimmed with moire silk. Hook and eye closures down the front of the bodice. Some snaps were added at the waistband at some point much later. One deep pocket at the side of the skirt. A beautiful display or study piece. Machine and hand sewn. +++ Measurements +++
