1940s Black Rayon Crepe Bias Cut Evening Gown nehru weighing close to 1This early 1940s Ceil Chapman bias cut evening gown has the very first iteration of the Ceil Chapman label reading "Original Chapman Design", which was used between 1940 1943. It's made from an unlined black rayon crepe that fastens up the left side with a metal Talon zipper. The top is ruched and sleeveless. Overall, it's in very good condition. It's possible that the neckline was slightly altered at some point, as the seams aren't fully symmetrical.
