1930s vintage monochrome art deco print day dress with mock jabot detail - volup 1940s Wear to pile of velvetWonderfully deco monochrome print, with graduated ripple effect very much of it's time. Pattern direction is interesting, as you realise it's been placed differently on each section for added interest! Side ties for varied fit, the dress is in bias cut panels. Jabot, neckline and sleeves all feature banding and drawnwork detail, and the sleeves have a triangular self fabric appliqu detail to the elbow. See photo of original 1930 advert for 'San Toy'
