Razorbill skull (Alca torda) this one was found inA well prepared skull from a Razorbill Alca torda. The razorbill is a colonial species that only comes ashore to breed. They are a species that pairs for life and have been recorded living up to 41 years. They breed in Northern countries from North America to Western Russia. This is a very well cleaned and prepared skull and complete with quadrate bones although the pterygoid are missing. This skull is from a dead specimen found washed up on a beach.
