Its carved from ox bone, with stunning detail and execution. Im not really sure what to make of the subject Maybe "Life and Death" the skull is clearly some sort of memento mori, but paired with Jesus theres likely some Christian symbolism thats not clear. Given its age and the unusual subject, this is a particularly rare
